Managers appearing in this section are likely to be established managers who are considered to not be
performing to the level required, particularly in relation to the leadership behaviours described in
the Smiths Leadership Model. They are potentially blocking others’ progression and are likely to be
a detriment to Smiths culture.
Indicators
- Their performance appraisals demonstrate that they have consistently not achieved expectations for both delivering results and leadership behaviour as defined by the Smiths Leadership Model.
- They have not completed a development plan to improve performance.
- They have not demonstrated desire to progress their career and have not indicated a willingness to be open to job moves.
- They will not relocate.
